Santa Shuffle ReCap
We ran the 5k Santa Shuffle in 27 minutes, which is a personal best time. Steve pushed the stroller, and Leila cheered for me the whole time (while Alena slept). It was a hard, hard run, cold and I had underestimated the race, so didn't warm up and my legs felt like lead the whole run.
But it was a really fun thing to do as a family, and we are going to try to make a tradition out of it.
Tonight, we're nestled in the house as it snows and snows. Tomorrow is a daycare day and a solitary walk with Alena in the backpack through the snowy trails. And finally, we have decided to take Leila out of day care at the end of the month, to save money. So over the next three weeks, I will enjoy these quiet and relaxing (numbered) days.
